Mr. Yankey joined the Clinical Trials Statistical and Data Management Center (CTSDMC) as the team leader for the Biostatistics group in the spring of 2006. He has developed statistical analysis plans, produced reports, and conducted statistical analyses (including interim and final analyses) for multi-center trials being conducted at the CTSDMC. Before that he worked at the Iowa City Veteran Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) as part of a research group whose main focus was on the interplay between patient/provider/organizational characteristics and health services use.

During Jon’s time at the CTSDMC and VAMC, he has performed sample size/power calculations and has gained experience managing large amounts of data in complex relational databases. He has also acquired some experience with Bayesian methods and re-sampling techniques. He has helped investigators develop statistical sections of study proposals and manuscript preparation as well. Jon will work with Dr. Coffey to prepare reports and conduct analyses for NeuroNEXT, and direct the Biostatistics team members who provide additional statistical support for this study.
