Claudia Moy, PhD MPH, NeuroNEXT Administrative Program Director

Claudia Moy

Dr. Moy is an epidemiologist currently working in the Office of Clinical Research at the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke at the National Institutes of Health. She will serve as the Administrative Program Director for NeuroNEXT, overseeing all of the cooperative agreements to the coordinating centers and clinical sites. She holds a doctorate in epidemiology from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master of Public Health degree from the Johns Hopkins University. In prior positions at the National Center for Health Statistics (now part of CDC), the University of Pittsburgh and at the Wilmer Eye Institute, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Dr. Moy conducted health survey research, epidemiological follow-up studies, and multicenter clinical trials Since moving from academia to NIH in 2001, Dr. Moy has been a program director in the clinical trials program, where she is responsible for a portfolio of clinical trials and other clinical research, primarily in stroke and other cerebrovascular disease. Her primary research interests are in clinical trials outcome measures, particularly measures of quality of life and of cognitive impairment associated with neurological disease or therapy. In addition, she has a continuing interest in clinical trials methodology, research integrity, and protection of research subjects.
