Dr. Meador is Professor of Neurology and Pediatrics, Director of the Epilepsy Center, and Director of Clinical Neuroscience Research at Emory University. He is the acting PI on this project. Dr Meador has served as PI on numerous research projects and is currently PI of the NEAD study, a multi-center, 10 year project investigating the cognitive effects of antiepileptic drugs on children in utero. He has authored over 300 publications in the areas of epilepsy, dementia, neglect syndrome, cognitive mechanisms, and the behavioral and cognitive effects of epilepsy and its treatments (e.g., antiepileptic drugs).
