Hans Johnson, PhD, DCC Core Leader of Imaging and Informatics

Hans Johnson

Dr. Johnson’s formal training in biomedical, electrical, and computer engineering provides a solid foundation for understanding and resolving the difficult technological infrastructures necessary to successfully facilitate complex geographically distributed clinical trials. He is a lead developer on 14 projects hosted by the Neuroinformatics Tools and Resources Clearing House (www.nitrc.org), the 13th most prolific contributor to the Insight Toolkit package (www.itk.org), a member of the Bioinformatics Research Network, and president of the Insight Software Consortium (www.insightsoftwareconsortium.org). Dr. Johnson has been significantly involved in several imaging and informatics projects that focused on developing the tools necessary to monitor and manage large-scale multi-site projects. In particular, he is the core leader for Imaging and informatics of the NIH funded 32-site longitudinal PREDICT-HD study. In summary, he has the training, expertise, and hand-on experience to drive the tool and processes development needed to solve biological problems.
