Katherine Gloer, PhD, DCC Quality Management Team Leader Dr. Gloer is an Assistant Research Scientist at the University of Iowa, and has served as the Quality Management (QM) Team Leader for the Clinical Trials Statistical and Data Management Center (CTSDMC) since 2009. She received her BS degree in Chemistry from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and her PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of Iowa. Prior to her participation in clinical trials research, she performed scientific research in the UI Department of Chemistry for over 15 years. Since joining the CTSDMC in 2008, Dr. Gloer has worked with the Data Management, Protocol Coordination, Information Technology, and Biostatistics groups to develop process improvements and standardized procedures.
As the CTSDMC QM Team Leader, Dr. Gloer will be responsible for developing Data Quality Assurance Plans for NeuroNEXT protocols. Dr. Gloer’s specific responsibilities will include evaluating the process of data collection for the Network, developing quality indicators and metrics to support data quality assurance, performing quality control checks of files for accuracy and consistency, and reviewing statistical reports at regular intervals. In her role on the NeuroNEXT SOP Review Committee, she will participate in drafting, reviewing, and finalizing CCC-DCC Standard Operating Procedures, in collaboration with the CCC Project Management Team.
