Mr. Bockholt is the co-founder and President of Advanced Biomedical Informatics Group, LLC (ABMIG) and was formerly the director of neuroinformatics at the Mind Research Network (MRN) for 8 years. He was the lead information architect for MRN, and developed, implemented and supervised a team of engineers that developed the suite of neuroinformatics tools in place and in use to this day. It was under his leadership that a comprehensive set of data management tools for multi-site neuroscience research were designed and implemented to support over 200 research projects (including several neurological clinical trials). As the PI of a subaward for the FBIRN project to MRN previously, he oversaw the initial integration of an electronic data capture (EDC) software package to be deployed and used in the phase 3 data collection of that multi-site project. He has collaborated and worked closely with Dr. Hans Johnson over the past 10 years on several multi-site studies (PREDICT-HD, Function BIRN, and NA-MIC). He presently serves as the chair of the Informatics section for the PREDICT-HD project, which PREDICT-HD is an international, 30-site observational study of healthy persons at known genetic risk for Huntington’s disease (HD). In the now funded NeuroNEXT DCC, he brings his extensive experience with developing and using large scale, cloud-capable multi-site data management tools and full data integration with neurological biomarkers.
