Dr. Benatar is the Walter Bradley Chair of ALS Research at the University of Miami. He is the principal investigator (PI) of two multi-center clinical trials, each funded by the Food & Drug Administrations Orphan Products Development Program, as well as the Pre-familial ALS study (a prospective observational study of people at risk for developing ALS). Complementing his clinical trials experience is a research program focused on the development of novel ALS biomarkers and an exploration of their potential role as outcome measures in clinical trials.
