Mariam Andersen

Mariam Andersen, MA, CCRP will serve as the Site Coordinator of the NeuroNEXT site at UT Southwestern Medical Center, in Dallas. Mariam is a certified clinical research professional through SoCRA and has managed pediatric neuromuscular research trials for five years. In her research career, Mariam has coordinated investigator-initiated grants and industry sponsored clinical drug trials in psychiatry and neurology. When joining Dr. Iannaccone’s clinic in 2007, she served as the project manager of the NIH-funded, multi-center project, American Spinal Muscular Atrophy Randomized Trials. Mariam has worked on the NPTUNE SMA clinical drug trials, the Biomarkers for SMA grant funded by the SMA Foundation, and will be coordinating the upcoming ISIS clinical drug trial in SMA children. She also served as co-coordinator on the Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy trials sponsored by PTC Therapeutics.
